Unhappy Shards of Orr impossible at the moment...

My current build is mainly a barrage with [Pain Inverter] and I use a mes, monk, and necro for heros. I can do Frostmaw's just fine with this but Shards of Orr is an entirely different story.

Any group with a priest is IMPOSSIBLE for me to overcome.

Any suggestions for a R/Mo on skills, H/H, or anything else? (I'm doing NM for now btw)

[Ray of Judgment] is your friend, give it to any three heroes (three monks, a monk and two mesmers, or whatever) and SoO should be a joke.

I heard a rumor that undead take double damage from Holy.
I heard another rumor that many smiting skills involve Holy damage.
I heard yet another rumor that you can tailor your hero builds to suit the place you will be fighting.
I heard one last rumor that Shards of Orr is chock full of undead.

I heard a rumour that sarcasm is awesome :P

take one or two RoJ smiters then maybe a fc smite mes or a hexer / condition remover - you with judges insight barrage maybe

it works in HoS against undead so should do in SoO...you tank damage with PS and SB then just nuke away

RoJ is nice so take the advice above to get through quickly. If you don't want to, can't go down you path [ward of stability] and [Ward] are very helpful as most of the pressure is felt from the shock-aftershock wizard combos. Not getting knocked down greatly reduces the pressure.

A group with a priest is impossible to you? You are a ranger, so use those freaking interrupts/daze you have available and beat the shit out of all monks.
Just wanted to point this out. The obvious smite stories have been told already it seems.

Blind does not bother spells and signets

Smiteway is the answer to your woes.

[[Ray of Judgment] helps but is not really needed. Since you're all ready a Barrage Ranger, just fit [[Judge's Insight] on your bar or [[Heart of Holy Flame] if you can't manage the energy or attributes.

I think far the most easiest way is to go 600/smite/spirit ranger. If you have already problems with priests. Fendi Nin wil be a nightmare.

I did this dungeon with 2 guildies a week or two ago on HM. Certainly not the easiest dungeon, but it wasn't too much of a problem, apart from the end boss who just was a real pain in the ass. We had two smiters and I tanked as a ranger. Both really helped. When you can make the foes to waste their RoJ etc on you instead of on your bunched up hero's it will not be very hard to beat them. If you don't have a real monk, you might need to micro manage protective spirit a bit though, but that is not anything different from other HM stuff. The smiter monks also help to get rid of the conditions, else you are weakened and blinded almost constantly.

The end boss was a different story though, that took a few consumables, mainly because of the hero's getting on 60%dp resulting in one skill kills.

Takes 20 mins to do SoO with assasins. Well, that is not a surprise. As you are a ranger, your best bet is to go w/ a 600 monk. They charge 10k to get this awful place done.
